When a man is converted and is born again, the desire to resemble Jesus becomes a priority for him. The regeneration is a miracle of God and it sets spiritual values and priorities in a man`s heart. The process of spiritual growth following the event of regeneration develops a character that behaves spiritually regardless of the life`s circumstances. The evangelist Mark, in chapters 8 and 10 of his gospel, presents the multiplication of the bread on two different occasions. The background is the same each time: people with unfulfilled fundamental needs, insufficient resources, the Savior`s godly vision and faith, the prayer that brings about abundance of food, and surprised, but also happy and satisfied people. From these miracles of bread multiplication, the regenerated people learn spiritual things that define their character.

1. Spiritual priorities - For a long period of times, the disciples served the multitudes at Savior Jesus` side, neglecting the fulfillment of their own needs. Seeing them exhausted and hungry, Jesus decides to take them away for a time of physical recovery. No one else has such a great interest for the needs of His servants as the Savior, because His purpose with them is service, not exhaustion. While they were on their way towards the wilderness, where they would have rested, a great crowd came running towards them. Now the Savior finds Himself between two groups of people with two different needs - the physical needs of the disciples and the spiritual needs of the multitudes. In spite of the fact that He had promised the disciples a time of relaxation, Jesus changes the initial plan and gives His time to the multitudes to whom He preaches the Gospel all day long, having the purpose of saving their souls. For Jesus, the soul is eternal and has priority before the physical body. The regenerated people MUST have spiritual priorities.

2. Spiritual solutions - At the end of the day, Jesus asks the disciples to feed the thousands of people gathered there, in spite of the fact that He Himself had told them not to take anything along in their missions, but rather go only in the Name of the Lord, by faith. The disciples find some people who had several fish and loaves of bread. Jesus blesses in prayer the fish and the bread and asks the disciples to divide them among the people who had just been invited to sit down in groups. When every one of them was satisfied, the disciples gathered several baskets of left overs. Jesus` solution was to use the little people had and to ask for God`s help, in prayer and with faith. The regenerated people MUST have spiritual solutions.

3. Spiritual thoughts - One of Jesus` teachings for the disciples was to stay away from the Pharisees` dough, which meant to not let themselves be influenced by their hypocrisy. This teaching came right after the event of bread multiplication, so the disciples thought that the Savior was reproaching them the fact that they couldn`t feed the multitudes of people that followed them. Because they had a worldly way of thinking, they were inclined to perceive His statement as a personal threat. The Savior used this opportunity to destroy this system of fleshly justification. The regenerated people MUST think spiritually. In the spiritual Kingdom, our little, if given to God and if accompanied by God`s powered requested in prayer, will be sufficient in any circumstance.
