Music plays an important role in the Church life. The Bible has a lot of information about music. Music was present at Creation (Job 38:7); among Adam`s descendants we find Jubal, the first 'musician' (Gen. 4:21).

Bible history presents various ways of worshiping God- through large orchestras (1 Chron. 23:5), through disciple groups (Matt. 26:30), and through soloist singers (Ps.13:6). The Bible says that, at a certain moment in time, God Himself shall sound the trumpet (Zach. 9:14). And not less important is the fact that throughout eternity, we, the Lamb`s Bride, shall sing to Him forever (Rev. 5:9, 14:3).

We can say that the motto of Bethany Church musicians is Psalm 47:7 which invites us to sing to the Lord a "wise song", which refers to a harmonious mix of old and new compositions, all to the glory of God and for the praising of His presence (2 Cron. 5:13).

 
The Mixed Choir plays a very important role in the worship service, because, through the praise given to our Creator and Savior, it helps the congregation enter a worship atmosphere of fellowship with God. The choir`s songs have a variety of messages - evangelism, comfort, joy.

Brother Miky Ban founded the first mixed choir of Bethany Church, in February of 1985. The choir began with 18 members and today has 80 men and women members. Between the years 1993-199, the choir was conducted by brother Gheorghe Popa. In 1992 and a few times after, the choir was also conducted by brothers Ştefan Varo, Adi Cuc, Ionel Şovrea and Aron Silaghi. Beginning in 1996, brother Dorin Giurgiu began implicating himself in conducting the choir. In 2008, brother Dorin was chosen as the head conductor and brother Miky Ban as the assistant conductor.

The choir meets for practice every Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00PM. The members of the choir are fully aware of the great responsibility they have in church of upholding the worship, and they make all necessary efforts to grow both musically and closer to the Lord, so that their hymns continue to edify listeners.
